'Childhoods' House Tour
A new owner-led tour offering a rare insight into the private lives of the children who have played a significant part in Acton Scott history from the 18th century up to the present day.
If you have enjoyed one of our standard house tours and want to visit again then this is a perfect chance to repeat the pleasure with different content. The tour includes several rooms of the house including a new exhibition of toys, games and other items in “The Old Play Room” in the basement of Acton Scott Hall.
Photographs, paintings and personal diaries will be respectfully shared throughout this tour. After tea and cake, there is an optional guided tour of the grounds where centuries of children from this closely knit estate community have played together in the woodland and secret rock garden.
If you want to spend a night in the house where most of these children grew up, three en-suite bedrooms are available. We might even provide a bedtime story! Please click here for more information about our accommodation offer.
